Nuby Giveaway!

Who’s ready for a GIVEAWAY?!

[eagerly and shamelessly raises hand and jumps up and down]

My friends over at Nuby are helping me give away some AWESOME baby and kid-friendly feeding tools (thanks, guys!).  Trust me, you mamas are going to want to get your hands on these!

One of the items is this Garden Fresh Freezer Tray.  It’s silicone, so the frozen food-cubes slip out super easily, AND it’s BPA-free, so you don’t have to worry about chemicals for your babe.  #doublewinning

The freezer tray has nine different compartments, so you can have a few of your baby’s faves on hand at all times. I whipped up two different recipes to test this puppy out, and the Gummy Bear loved them so much, he wanted me to share them with you all!

CHICKEN N’ SWEET POTATOES

Ingredients

½ steamed/baked sweet potato (skin removed)

1 oz crockpot chicken (find the recipe HERE)

1/8ish cups unsalted organic chicken broth/stock

Instructions

In a food processor (or high powered blender), add all ingredients and blend until smooth.  If your baby is a little older and has some teeth, you can leave it a little chunkier to help introduce textures.

Spoon into freezer tray, cover, and freeze. It’s seriously THAT easy! When serving, use a butter knife to loosen edges and then microwave cube in a microwave-safe dish for 30 seconds or until warmed through.

When I serve this, I add a few drops of organic coconut oil for some healthy fats.

SPINACH AND BEAN QUINOA

Ingredients

½ cup cooked quinoa

¼ cup cooked pinto beans (+ a little of the bean’s juices)

handful of raw organic spinach (stems removed)

pinch of pink salt

few cracks of black pepper (to help develop their palate)

Instructions

Put all ingredients into a food processor (or high-powered blender) and blend until smooth.  You can add a few splashes of unsalted organic chicken/vegetable broth if it needs to be thinned out a little more.

Spoon into freezer tray, cover, and freeze.  When serving, use a butter knife to loosen edges and then microwave cube in a microwave-safe dish for 30 seconds or until warmed through.

**Always check the temperature of foods you’re feeding to your baby before their first bite! Nuby also makes “safe spoons” that turn white if the food/liquid is too hot.  Genius!

I hope you guys enjoy these recipes as much as bubs did!  This is great way to introduce new texures, flavors, and spices—as well as keeping your child’s foods super nutritious!

Make sure to check out my Instagram page (@fit_n_clean_mama) this weekend for details on the other prize!  To ENTER THE GIVEAWAY: 1) follow myself and @NubyUSA, and 2) tag 3 mommy friends who would love these tools and recipes!  This giveaway ends Sunday, 6/26 at midnight (EST) and a winner will be randomly chosen and announced Monday morning.  (US residents only, please)

Have an AWESOME FriYay, lovelies!  Blessings!

XOXO
